Discover the highlights of Pula on this 1-hour-and-10-minute walking tour through the city’s most important historical sights. We’ll explore Pula’s Roman heritage, medieval centre, Austro-Hungarian past and industrial history, stopping at landmarks such as the Arch of the Sergii, Roman streets, Forum, Temple of Augustus, waterfront and shipyard, Cathedral, Nimfej, Arena, Double Gate, Gate of Hercules, Giardini and the ancient city walls. Along the way, you’ll also discover some lesser-known details, including an ancient mosaic, the oldest apartment in Pula, a former brothel and the remains of a Roman mausoleum. This is a shorter, easy-going introduction to Pula, perfect for those who want to see the city’s main sights, understand its history and get a feel for the city without committing to a longer walking tour.
